PRIVACY POLICY

Some things should remain yours.

This Policy explains the important difference between information used to provide access and private reflection data that remains locally on your device.

Effective 10 August 2026

1. Who is responsible

THIS TIME, ME is operated by OLE BIZ EMPIRE (PTY) LTD, trading as ShayGold Digital. We are responsible for the account and access information described in this Policy.

For privacy questions or requests, contact support@thistime-me.com.

2. Two different kinds of information

Account and access information

Information processed to confirm a purchase, send a sign-in code and manage access to the product.

Private reflection data

Personal app content that, where supported, remains stored locally in the browser on the device you use.

3. Account and access information we may process

To provide and support access, we may process:

  • your email address;
  • your entitlement or access status;
  • an order, transaction or payment reference where applicable;
  • purchase, verification, access or support dates; and
  • limited operational records needed to deliver, protect, troubleshoot or manage access.

We use this information to verify purchases and access, deliver sign-in codes, respond to support or refund enquiries, prevent misuse, keep necessary business records and comply with applicable law.

4. Payment and email providers

Payments are handled through Stripe. THIS TIME, ME does not directly store your full card details. Stripe processes payment information under its own terms and privacy practices and provides us with the order or payment information needed to confirm and support your purchase.

Email-related functionality, including access-code delivery and service messages where applicable, may be delivered using Resend. These providers may process limited information on our behalf or as an independent service provider to perform their services.

5. Private reflection data stored on your device

Under the current THIS TIME, ME implementation, supported private app content remains locally stored in your browser on the device you use. This may include:

  • journal entries and guided reflection answers;
  • supported voice recordings;
  • Journey and Progress information;
  • saved reads, favourites and reminders;
  • Rebuild responses and similar personal app content; and
  • appearance, theme and audio preferences.

Voice recordings are not uploaded, transcribed, analysed or sent to AI under the current implementation. Locally stored private reflection data is separate from the account and entitlement records used to verify access.

Please keep in mind

Local browser storage is device- and browser-specific. Information may not automatically appear on another device and may be removed if you clear website data, use private browsing, reset the app or lose access to the device. Use the available export or backup tools for information you want to keep.

6. Sharing and service providers

We do not describe private reflection data as being sold or used for advertising because that is not part of the current product implementation. We may share the limited account, access, payment-reference or operational information necessary with service providers such as Stripe and Resend, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud or secure the service.

Some service providers may process information in other countries. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use providers and arrangements consistent with applicable data-protection requirements.

7. Retention

We retain account, access, transaction-reference and support records only for as long as reasonably needed to provide access, resolve issues, maintain appropriate business and tax records, protect the service and meet legal obligations. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of record and applicable law.

You control the locally stored private reflection data on your device through your browser, the app’s controls and available export or reset functions.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, request access to or correction of that information, object to certain processing, or request deletion where the law permits. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Contact support@thistime-me.com to make a request. You may also raise a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa or another competent data-protection authority where applicable.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we process. No online service, email system, browser storage or device can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we do not make an absolute security promise.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the product, our providers, our practices or the law changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
